Hey Howard.

No the bed sizes here are 3 inches shorter than western norms. We shipped 2 near new Q/S beds from OZ when we moved here along with dozens of bed sheet sets of high quality.
Recently when the extensions were done we purchased a new high end Q/S bed for the new master B/R and had to order a specially made Q/S bed and base 3 inches longer or else our linen wouldn't fit. Suppose it depends how tall you are Howard.

Cheers, Steve.

I bought a SuperKing bed from a hotel sale. Its excellent and bigger than the norm .. can fit myself and maybe two small sized ladies on ocassions hahah.. only issue is buying bedding.
They dont sell Super king sized bedding anywhere here. fortunately I have two trips a year to Uk where superking bedding is very normal.

Yes Newfie not easy to buy decent linen here in western size, Maybe Rustins in Makati but not been there for a dozen years. Bed size is important and while I'm not tall @ 5'11" I can't sleep in a double bed and like the length of queen and king size. Golly a fussy Aussie yes but at least a quarter of our life is spent in a bed and a good nights sleep is milk to my heart,,,,,,,,

Cheers, Steve.

my bedding is flax, that’s linen. Irish made, all custom and the beauty with linen is it’s cool to touch and is a unique feel. I always over size as I use hospital corners to tuck it all in. Can’t stand fitted sheets. As they are all hand made to order I’m bring them with me and it takes 4 to 6 weeks for them to build me up a sheet. I love my bedding

Paper Paper Product Silver Ribbon Linens

Maybe a bit like I love my JD Newfie? Not tried Flax linen that I'm aware of but the linen we shipped from Oz is far better than local and the right size, same for bath towels, here what is available is not so good but I did look up your flax sheets. and seems they are sold here and well priced but no idea the quality and never looked at the sizes available nor where manufactured.
I'll just stick with my cotton sheets until they wear out,,,,, many years away I'm sure.

Cheers, Steve.

Should be able to get linen easy, lots of companies produce them, the Chinese make a crap load for companies in the U.K. Just don’t dry it in direct sunlight, roll to store and never use bleach in the washing liquid. the good stuff can be boiled. It can be found at very cheap prices, it’s just the feel is odd as it’s very hard to have a high thread count. Worth trying.

Steve,

I suspect your experience with mattresses may be outdated. It is at most a 5 inch difference in length. Sorry, my mind doesn't work well with metric

Every website about Philippines mattress sizes says, for example

Queen size mattresses in Philippines is 60x75 or 60x78 or 60x80 inches. So maybe it just takes additional shopping in Philippines to find a 60x80.

In USA, my favorite brand is Serta which is Queen 60x80.

I suspect that a 60x80 fitted sheet will probably fit a 60x75 or 60x78 mattress?

Also in USA fitted sheets come in a deeper size for thicker mattresses

Certainly an unfitted sheet will fit.

This is Serta mattress sizes from Sam's club app.
Specifications

Twin Twin XL Full Queen King Cal King
Mattress Size 38" x 75" 38" X 80" 54" x 75" 60" x 80" 76" x 80" 72" x 84"
Mattress Height 14.5" 14.5" 14.5" 14.5" 14.5" 14.5"

I found Serta US Queen size mattresses sold in Philippines. Purchase directly from Serta Philippines website

Here is a Philippines shorter Serta.

So, in conclusion, more research answered my own question. I can buy USA size Serta Queen mattress in Philippines.

Not sure about buying sheet sets for it

Not outdated Howard as it was a purchase in the last year and from what I found was all Q/S beds we looked at were 3 inches shorter than western sizes which includes fitted sheets but I'm sure in Manila you can buy western sizes, we live out in the province and it was not a problem to order the right size.
Did you look in Rustin's in Makati as they have some good quality there.

Aside how was your trip to Manila this time around? I'm sure you enjoyed.

Cheers, Steve.

that’s the make I have Steve and some are available In the Philippines.
